launchpad looking at desktop?

I just formatted my hard drive and copied my wife's entire Sony folder to my computer.  When I try to open the game, it looks for all of that launchpad stuff on the desktop, and subsequently begins to download all of the launchpad files to my desktop.  It usually looks here C:Program FilesSonyStationLaunchpadLaunchPad.exe.  Does anyone know how to redirect this?  I don't particularly want a bunch of launchpad files on my desktop! Thanks!

<p>instead of putting the icon on your desktop, you put the whole patcher on it. What you need to do is: Right click the patcher file in the EQ2 folder and click send to desktop(shortcut) to make a shortcut.</p>

I haven't put the shortcut on my desktop yet, I am using it straight out of my eq2 folder.  This is so annoying!  Just to clarify, when I start the EQ2 launcher application from C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II, it checks for files on my desktop, not where it should be checking: C:Program FilesSonyStationLaunchpad.  When it does not see the files on my desktop, it downloads them to my desktop.  How do I tell the EQ2 launcher application in this folder C:Program FilesSonyEverQuest II to look in the correct place for the launchpad files? Thanks!
