Here's the situation...

I bought the EQ2 Collector's Edition way back when. I /claimed all the items on my character and played. I found I didn't much like my class and he's not been played much (level 26 and I made him at launch). He's gotten some items along the way (from holiday-type events) but pretty much, he's dead weight and I want him dead.

However, he's got some spiffy house items that I don't want to end up losing. They're in a different character's house.

So, what happens to those items if I give him the axe? Will that character never be able to change houses? I have moved that character's house before, and got the moving box, but the dead-leezurd-walking had to go to the house to move anything, unless my memory is failing.

No, the items stay in any house you put them in and the house owner is able to move ANY items from the Moving Crate and around the house as they please (it IS their moving crate after all). The only thing involving the owning character is an in game mail to that character letting them know that the house owner, where the items were stashed in, has moved and to where. So fear not! Any items you have won't be lost if they are in a different characters house.... Unless you decide the character who owns the house isn't worth keeping at a later date. Then you'll lose those items. So be sure you don't plan to ever get sick of that character!

I haven't tried this in a long time but I after deleting an alt that had some NoTrade items in my house I thought I remember seeing an option to claim the item by right-clicking on it.

Quick way to test it: make an alt, do the basic no-trade inn room furniture quest, put it in your other char's house, delete the alt, see if the stuff stays. Oh, and let us know the results

Well, I made a throw-away character, claimed the bonsai, put it in my main's house, nuked said character.

When I right-clicked the no-trade item, it didn't give me an option to pick up or claim the item, but did allow me to move it.

I used same account as well as multiple accounts.I also checked to make sure a claim option wasn't activated by moving.

OR as I have suggested in another post a long time ago, SOE needs to add another item status designation(there seems to be a ton of them already, so what's one more) that is flagged so an item is No-Trade except within the same account. That way when you have long since discarded an old alt who had once claimed some cool house item that can only be claimed once per account and not once per character, you can still move it to your new Main's house through the shared bank account.

Honestly, the problem the OP is having is the same one, that for some reason, drives me absolutely crazy. The other solution is to have all veteran rewards claimable once per character and not a limit of 3 or 1. C'mon SOE, please fix this.

That really should have the account trade tag, I personally think that the KoS Spires should also be account trade only, instead of Tradable.

When they patched that in, a lot of items where tagged as 'no owner' essentially, and whatever char with house privilidges could claim it as theirs. It only applies to items that where placed before that patch and havent been touched so to speak since then, so not really applicable any longer (wish it was tho :p ).
