Mounts

<p>I don't now where else to post this but here is a suggestion for new content with expansions. NEW MOUNTS! I see something about a rhino in the Rise of Kunark expansion coming soon but is that going to be a mount? or for travel like the griff's/horses.</p><p> The horse mounts are great - you added flames and made them spectral. . . ewwww pretty but not really different. You gave us carpets with Desert of Flames expansion, for some reason no matter the speed of the carpet if feel like im going at a crawl. Not very exciting! The disc thingie, SWEET they are cool looking but imo its a dirty carpet! The wargs are pretty cool though and thats all I have on them but more varity would still be nice.</p><p> Mount suggestions:</p><p>Camel, Spider, Wolf, Panther, Lion, Clockwork something, Big dragon fly (it could glide like the fae), Wyvrn or whatever, Lizard.</p><p>Thats just a few things what does everyone think? Anyone else have something they would like to see as a mount? How about special live events where you can get special mounts like a reindeer during xmas, or an undead something for Halloween. Help us out here!</p>

The Rino mount is so far sounding like a Guild level mount like the Mistrunners and War Barbed are. Honestly I would love to see more types of mounts (espically if they take out most of the many 'spotted' horse mounts to replace them with....

they need to give or mounts armor and for the wargs an attack that would be so sweet of corse on the down side if your mount dies you have a long reload time

I really don't think there is a way to code in attacking mounts... As basically they are kind of like an illusion added onto your character (just doesn't count as an illusion)

I think they should add more variety to mounts. Horses of course run much more and faster but only provide slight protection like they do now. I felt dissapointed with the wargs when soe included them, i would have enjoyed more to have different type of mounts for different situations. You have a warg and man it only goes up to 30% speed but it adds +20 Defense and it even gives you an ability to your knowledge book when mounted, "Attack" where the warg attacks your enemy with his claw or tries to bite the enemy. The idea is you have some kind of armored fighting mount. Another idea: Why mounts just go to a specific X% of speed all the time, wouldnt be more realistic to have some inertia, when going to the left or right, or even starting at a 3% speed when starting to run and going to a continued 50% after some seconds running. There is a full list of games related with cars, bikes, etc that players buy just to enjoy the sensation of speed and movement, why dont sony explore this a bit more. Add some inertia and make the experience of ride a mount a bit more interesting adding some skill to it. Not saying they should create a full flavored Formula 1 game, but come on, even arkanoid that old breakout game had a slight inertia when hitting the ball. Make riding an interesting experience and people will enjoy traveling. Very lightly explore the interest of players for speed and movement. Whats your opinion readers?

+20 Defense factors in to be about 1.3% avoidance. It's not that big.

Yeah for the replies! I do believe mounts would give an extra feel to the game. My current toon I can get him up to 71% runspeed with out a mount. So it is not the speed that I want - it is just the extra content to make people feel different from others. He look another guy with a flaming horse! <p>I'd love to have a mount that is actually a pair of wings, I think Templars or Pallys would look real cool zooming into combat with large, spectral, holy looking wings like an archangel of Biblical lore.  They could make an evil looking pair too, like made out of flaming bones or something.</p><p>But yeah, more variety in mounts would definitely be a welcomed addition.</p>

Ya i think if we got a panther mount it should have better speed then the warg mounts, but it think the wargs should get defence stats like +10 defence or somthing and the panther speed should be like 55 or 60% it would rockthanx for reading

I don't use any mounts. My Ranger is at 71% speed with fae boost to 100%. My warden is at 70% speed with kerra boost to 100% and my bard runs a mere 56%. Have cool loking 15% speed pets might be fun an hour or two, but in the end, you use them to travel.Give us pets that make me want to own one of them. I did not choose my classes for speed. it just happened to be as it is. Now I have no reason to  get myself a mount. Please change it. Make at least some of them run at a decent speed.

just to throw in my 2 copper about the stats on mounts. i think it would be sweet to see great stats on mounts, comparable to a piece of armor you would buy for that much money.... i mean to spend 14 plat on something i would hope it was more then just fluff. and besides you can't use mounts in dougeons anyways so the huge stat increase wouldnt help in really anything that mattered, just help in overland zones.

The best looking mounts are the ones with the slowest speeds. It would be good if we could choose the mount itself and the properties that come with it separately. This should also include the option to have no physical mount and just buy the properties, so I could for instance buy a 50% speed increase item without having to sit on some hideous creature.

<p>I would like to make a disclaimer first: I am not saying WoW is better!</p><p>There, now that it has been said, why not take a page from WoW and make racial mounts? For instance give dark elves big lizards or spiders to ride. Trolls a big elephant. Barbarians a polar bear. Kerra a big sabretooth cat. Wood elves can sit on the back of an eagle(of course the eagle would float something like the carpets and not actually fly). Gnomes could have some clockwork legs(think of the scout walker in Star Wars). These are just a few ideas.</p>
