My tier 4 warden is also tier 6 sage.

I decided yesterday that I wanted to work on raising her harvesting. I was a bit surprised that harvesting tools (non tinkered) are tied exclusively to adventuring level.

I'm at a loss as to why this would be. Harvesting is in no way related to adventuring but it is integral to tradeskilling so having these tools based on adventure level makes little sense to me.

Ideally, requirements on harvesting tools should be based on harvesting skill but that would only serve to annoy a lot of people, so I would like to see requirements on these these tools changed to tradeskill level or adventuring level.

My 21 Inquisitor / 50 Woodworker is able to equip the level 40 Woodworker's harvesting tools. The Level indicator shows as 40, but he can equip them anyway. However, these are tools that were crafted recently. If there's an issue with older tools that weren't updated to adventurer/tradeskill level, I do not know.

I was miffed the other day when I asked my tinkerer mate to knock me out a set of overclocked harvesting tools. I am a Lvl 70 adventurer with all harvesting skill maxxed out, but because I am only a Lvl 29 Alchemist following a recent respec I couldn't use them! What is all that about??!! I spent ages getting my harvesting skills up, so I should know how to handle a set of harvesting tools that equates to my skill level. These tools should NOT be tied to your crafting level - just because I can handle a screwdriver in the workshop does not mean I am proficient with a pickaxe in the field.

Please fix this.
