I see so many people talking about the best for raiding and power gamers, but which AA lines would you suggest for someone who plays casually and rarely, if ever, raids? I group on occasion, but because of my odd play times, I generally solo. What would you suggest?

If i where to post a pic of my toon, you would think that i raid a lot, but honestly i don't. It's more like a 60/40 ordeal for me where the 40% is me raiding & the 60% is me soloing or helping my girl get up in lvls quests etc. I do not juggle a template for both raiding & non raiding etc. due to my current set up being effective for raiding, soloing, grouping so i believe. Plus i complement my tree with certain items/adornments. I will post my template later on.

4/4/8 INT .. reaver .. full STR for end-ability .. 4/5 STA .. hate-line .. at least max deathmarch from it

I'm still happy with the STA line all the way.

I took a lot of reaver AAs to get taps on Coil/Touch and finally reaver. Also dropped points to reduce timer on Feign, but now I'm not sure that was a good idea as I use it so rarely. Kinda like buying a bigger insurance policy. I've been real happy with the extra healing in solo play, though. I just started the Crusader AAs and began with Int, as my Int from gear was lacking compared to Str. Was this a mistake for a solo SK? I was thinking Int and Str lines for crits, but maybe Sta for HP would be better?

I mostly solo and group... prob 70/30 if i had to say off the top of my head and raid maybe once a week.

My build is :

4-4-8-8-1 down the sta line-->divine aura is hard to top for solo/group play.. i'v yet to see a hit get thru it... it might be gimped in raids but so far it has served me well cant think of a raid mob that has hit thru it either.... then again im not high end /shrug but awesome for soloing named or if ur like me i like to overpull and im not a mez friendly tank most of the time.Btw hammer ground can be a lifesaver too.

4-4-8 down the int line--> 68% spell crit is very nice..... obviously the faster stuff dies the more exp u can rake in during ur playtime

The other points can be allocated whereever... i put an xtra into hammer ground and 2 more into base int and another 4 into smite. However I am considering shaving 4 points off of the xtra hp, 4 pts off smite 1 pt off of hammer ground and 2 off of base int to get some trample pts to up my dps even further(wish they were givin us more pts to spens in kunark id buy the agi line )

Some folks like the haste line... the end ability is kinda nice but i feel haste is wasted with our spells in particular when casting our major spells such as wards,ae lifetap, despoil is kinda longish cast too.

Atm in the sk tree i went down the reaver and hate lines but the only line im really happy with is reaver. might try out decay since it can be helpfull insolo, group and raid play.... hate only gets u more hate... i tend to like ot get the most bang for my buck...although speeding up recast on deathmarch is kinda nice

You will most likely have to play around with lineups on ur own to find a set up that u like the best tho:p

I went 4-4-8 INT, based off what I have read on these posts.

Next I went down the reaver line to get reaving.

Then I went down the STR line to get haste and the spell recast decreased.

I am starting to put points into the STA line now.

I just got 58 last night. I cant wait to try out deathmarch.

Working on my reaver line.

Spell crit is awesome, and should be the FIRST thing any SK does. Once you hit the 60% mark you get soooo many crits between direct damage and DoT damage that you are constantly rewarded with capital damage. The result is a significant and reliable increase in your DPS, be you solo, tanking for a group, or tanking an epic.

I solo about 80% of the time and have tried out a lot of different combinations, As far as the SK tree I settled on getting most of the reaver, especially those that add lifetaps or reduce recast only on the better spells, did all of the hate. Then on the Crusader tree I got STR 4-8-8-8-2, INT 4-4-8, STA 4-1. This gives me the fully reduced casting times, full spell crit and an AOE attack that stuns to help get my other AOE spells off. With the hate skills off the SK tree along with the added dps hate isnt an issue. Actually in a group with a Paladin MT I tend to pull aggro quite often and end up tanking a lot of the battles, especially in AOE battles.

Is there a reason people don't do 4/4/8/8 INT? Are 8 points in healing crit not important for us? I haven't noticed a big difference so I'm seeking advice on this.
