Legends of Norrath Files not downloading in background

<p>This is silly, I get home after patch day and go to log on to the game and now it's a 2 hour download to get all of these Legends of Norrath files that I'm not going to be able to use anyway because I'm not part of fan faire.</p><p>These really should be in the "download while I play" category, not the "you must download these now to even access the game" category. <img src="/smilies/e78feac27fa924c4d0ad6cf5819f3554.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Actually, there is an option to download while you play in the preferences button on the launcher.  Just not sure if it works.

It does. They've used it before with downloading parts of EoF and KoS before they went live, so it wasn't going to be a 100% of people have to download 100% of the expansion when it comes out, and bogging down the system. Didn't take me 2 hours to download tho. Maybe 5-10 minutes? Not sure why it took you that long unless you were on dialup.
