Sword of Destiny

Hello all. Some guildmates and myself are working on the sword of destiny quest line atm and I was just wondering what weapon the great Guardian's of Noratth are using and why. I was thinking of the sabre because of the extra dps to help hold aggro, but I also like the Gladius. Any suggestions?

Mayong hammer FTW <img src="/smilies/385970365b8ed7503b4294502a458efa.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> As far as sabre vs gladius if you are getting 1 for 1 on you dps returns, from what I remember (if you are going 1-hander - and only after LU3<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> they are about the same but considering most MT group make-ups the gladius is probably the better choice for both dps and not getting hit (+5 shield block).

Grim Brimstone Hammer is probably the best Guardian one-hander in the game right now. Unless you're truly worried about survival (a few Avatar fights ~maybe~), the Hammer's Double Attack bonus out-weighs the block chance in my opinion. I actually took the two-hander and tank on occassion with it just cause I like seeing stupidly high criticals appear above the piece of meat I'm slicing in two.

if you cannot kill mayong for mayong hammer or sod update, then the legendary sod isn't bad still have +5block chance and not bad dps from what i remember. however either fable sod or mayong hammer is better than most all weapons.(some will argue clear cutter, some will argue below axe, still in debate, to see if it is almost just as good)
