Do I just need to just max out skills for my current weapon (crushing) to get best to-hit on my melee CA's or do I need to max out all three skills (piercing & slashing also)?

Just crushing, your CA's are based off your current weapon skill and the skill level its at... if that makes any sense, it did to me

yup just crushing.

however, try to keep you slashing in par also, since you'll never know when you find a nice slashing weapon to use?

like someone said, its not nice to see this situation: yberweaponskill 10/350

++Xan

Agree...you need to only have the skill your currently equipped weapon requires in order to get the max benefit from it.

However, as soon as you DON'T max out slashing AND crushing - the most beautiful weapon you have ever seen drops, and you win it. Then you have to spend half a day in the Commonlands hitting rhinocerii in order to skill it up so that it is worth using.

Thanks for the replies -- As a melee warden, am I ever really going to use anything but crushing?

Because if you have it maxed that weapon will never drop or at least you will not win it

FYI, I constantly missed with my melee warden until I hit 26 or 27 cant remember. You get the spell that increases crushing, piercing, ranged and slashing of target. It made a world of difference and actually kept me from respecing my AAs. At adept III it icreases by 22 I believe.
