Getting knocked into lava

Been trying to finish "Saving Souls" in lavastorm.  The epic at the end keeps knocking me back into lava and I die.  Just like the giant in permafrost, that keeps knocking me off the wall to my death. I try to pull him to the door to Sol A, but that has not seemed to help me much.  After 5  deaths he despawned. Is their a way we can root ourselves like guardians can?  Or are these epic mobs going to be guardian only?  I say this because I was told by a guardian in level chat that guardians can root themselves so as not to get thrown around. Any advice?

I've tanked him 5-6 times with my back to the Sol-Eye door, and never had any problems.

I never used that 1, but I use the Stun/Stifle immunity ones once in awhile...and the AOE block, Power and Health regen ones often.

The Magoleum (think that is how it was spelled) is on a timer, it used to be 15 min that you had to kill him, after that he'd despawn for 2h or more ... Try to pull him to the door like many others said, best way if i recall was the right hand side  next to the door (as u face the door). And make sure you re adjust after the kicks, don't let him kick and somehow managed to get between u and the door, as this will result u being kicked about
