Hello all,

First thing I was a 70 fury and just got tired of the fury way's and basically just got bored with the fury. I wasnt fully mastered or anything so I decided to betray to a Warden and join my Fae alt in his homeland. So after reading up on all the spells I purchased every Adept I from 57-60 to start with. That way i get an Idea of what i need for upgrades. I currently am harvesting moonstones to upgrade everything from 60-70 (as well as 57-59). My question for you guys is:

Are there any spells below 57 that are a must have and I need to get? Currently 6 moonstones I am waiting to get made into spells. I plan on getting masters but until they drop I cant afford them =/

There are 2 that come to mind - Level 35 spirit of the bat (bloodlines spell) Level 55 nature's ally (the wolf pack) Save yourself some money - Go melee specced. It's fun and free! Ran through some instances with a pug last night and I topped both DPS and healing parses. Don't expect that on a raid, but fun stuff for a pug.
lvl 55 Nature's Ally (swarm wolf pets) lvl 57 sylvan streams (single heal) must have one as hight as you can afford lvl 57 Exaltation of the untamed (cold/heat resist and Ward cold/heat) lvl 58 Protecting Grove (group heal over time, killable tree) lvl 58 Aspect of the Hawk (wis & power) 1 conc each target , must have one as hight as you can afford lvl 58 Essence of the great bear (hp and cold/heat resist) for all group. lvl 59 Sandstorm (+defense group buff, stun/kb proc) lvl 59 Solar flame (heat nuke) Anyways check our server broker for the master versions cause on some spells sometimes u can get really cheap, cause market overflooded on some of them.

Funny how no one mentioned Tunare's Watch.

It's our level 52 Mess with the Tank spell. What it's SUPPOSED to do is save your target from a near-death experience, giving you some breathing time to heal them up and send them back in. What we find it most often DOES...is save your tank from death, only to let him get one shotted and killed again - cause the heal amount wasn't really enough.

We argue this one. If it's the 2nd Tuesday of the month, with the moon in Scorpio/conjunct Pisces at exactly 8PM PST - it will work. Even so, you'll want to have it in case the spell dev decides to beef it up a bit.

It's not bad now, on par with our biggest direct heal and when you do that line it has 2 triggers. I just respecced to it and since I really gave up nothing(before I just had a mishmash of semi-useful AA's most of which were in renewal anyway) to get it I am liking it. Think all I gave up was 2 points on our boosted mitigation dog form which amounted to like .2% lost mitigation.

Gitana, I noticed you put Sandstorn down as one of the upgrades. I have never used it becuase of the stun and the only time I can think this spell would be useful is when your group is being overwhelmed, but at that time i'm so busy spamming heals i can't afford to be stunned. Is there a situation where this spells is usefull I haven't thought of?

And Congratz on the betrayal Pucswift. I have been very happy with my toon since I betrayed a few months back. The healing style might take some getting used to but once you get comfortable I think it is well worth the switch. You should already have Spirit of the Bat from your Fury line of spells. If not, you might have to send a tell in the crafting channel for a sage who has Bloodlines to hook you up with the adept3 version(if one is not available on the broker).

(sandstorm)

You directed this to Gitana, but I'll answer too - I find it's very helpful when you are being overwhelmed, as long as you can stay planted where you are. The spell doesn't stun you, it roots you - meaning you have to settle in and will not be able to follow the group around. It really is helpful to increase everyone's avoidance - which, in turn, will mean you don't have to heal quite so hard as if it wasn't on.

You can click the spell off of you without removing it from the rest of the group..if you need to move. Since you are only rooted, you are able to cast any other spell you want to. The one thing you need to consider before having it on for its duration and possibly refreshing it is: can you afford the power drain? It's pretty hefty, but the spell IS useful.

I don't usually use it in the MT group raiding because those fights are often long enough that you want all the power you can get. At the same time, those in this group are usually doing pretty well with their own mitigation and avoidance with armor and buffs that this spell isn't needed as much vs. the power it costs.

When I am healer in the cloth-y caster group - it goes up as soon as the tank pulls. It's invaluable for keeping those aggro pulling, over-nuking, insane gnomes...safe. Sandstorm + The Tree goes a long way to ensuring your valuable DPS'ers won't get 2shotted by a raid mob. (You can decide if this remark is sarcastic or not... )

In a regular group, it's very useful for the knockback proc, and you will decide to use it or not based on the length of the fight vs. the power you will need to complete it. It really does help mitigate those times when you are are button mashing to keep someone healed, since this does help their avoidance.

In PvP..it's a little trickier. It's incredibly valuable against a melee class. The spell procs a knockback that is predicated on how much melee is being done. Against, say, a swashbuckler or monk (who are hitting you with lots of hits...) it's pretty useful. The downside to it is: If you pop it and get knocked back..down a hill or whatever (because yeah..your Nature's Walk doesn't make you immune to every possible ability that might knock you back..sorry), you waste time having to take it off in order to get back in range for heals or damages. Your group has to know that you have cast it so they will know to stay within your heal range so that you don't have to click it off. A healer in PvP is a prime target and you want the spell on you during a fight, particularly against melee (which, nowadays with new AAs...can be pretty much anybody).

i use sandstrom still in few ocassions, at master version adds 28 defense to all group (25 at ade3 i think), depending how close to the avoidance cap its the tank u play its usefull or not, if u know the tank gonna pull a big group of mobs can u just position in the place u like before pull, or if u notice the group gonna get unwanted adds in a middle of a fight, and damage spikes on the tank are incoming can cast it too. like arielle said only roots you but drains a bit power over time. Can even made a macro /Gsay Healer rooted + defense up ! or something like that to make sure our group know u are rooted in place. Its a must have for pvp or duels for the Stun/kb proc part, arielle explained that well In Tier 5 that spell line was unvaluable for raiding and good enough for grant a place in MT group, only that spell alone. Aww the gold old days....
