Crashing from eq2 after zoning

<p>I had this problem in EQ1. 90% of the time when I zoned I crashed to desktop. I checked everything and could'nt find the problem. Turned out a stick of memory went bad. When the game wrote that particular kernal address the game crashed.</p><p> Hope this helps.</p>

hey thanks 4 the info.. i went out and bought some new ram.. tried it.. same thing happened anyway.. so ive un-installed and reinstalled now and i get the same crash window @ the patch window..  u know where it updates etc.. also when it doesn't actually crash the game never loads.. i press play and the patcher window dissapears but the game never loads.. any idea's ppl? i dunno what is goin on.. i've ran anti-virus and scanned all of my files repeatedly and nothing seems to have worked.. any feedback at all would be most helpfulthanking u in advance..Twinkage - 70 Warden - Runnyeye

That has been happening to me sometimes since the one of the last updates.  I think I've heard that there is some issues with certain video drivers and sound drivers. I don't have the exact link to the thread, but I think if you do a search for drivers you can find it.  So my best suggestion is to make sure that you have the most up to date drivers for your computer.  Hope this helps <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />
