mss32.dll prob, please help fast

hi. First when I installed eq2 this time, it would simply not download at all. So I headed here and found the solution, which was to delete a specific file. That did not work for me, so I deleted all the main files. That worked, the patcher was almost done. When I get this error message "this application has failed to start because mss32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Reinstalled a several times. Then I went here again, and found a tech mod giving a solution about redownloading the installer. I tried, it added some files, but still got the same error. I am starting to believe this may be a VISTA thing? Anyway, here is my DxDiag, please help. EDIT. posted DxDiag in multiple replies

mss32.dll is a Miles Sound System component from what I can find on google, it should also be residing in your main EQ2 directory, from the launcher click the 'Preferences' button and then 'Full File Scan', hopefully that will pick up on the fact that it is missing and sort the issue out for you.
