Ok, ok! Let me quote it before someone else does. "Nothing that takes place after Planes of Power is EQ2 canon unless explicitly stated to be so." Now; that is out of the way. Playing EQ1 since almost the beginning, I wanted to not believe in the whole time split thing but it is indeed a fact and I have grown to actually like the direction they chose to go with in doing that. That being said, I do believe that up to the moment that Druzzil Ro reversed time that the histories of both worlds are one in the same. I believe there were certain plans hatched prior to the time split that remained relevant in EQ2's world just perhaps hasn't played itself out yet or in the same manner as it did in EQ1's later expansions. Anyway, I am getting off on a tangent; that is my theory and I am sure some will disagree. So I was watching the official trailer that was released at fan faire and noticed something very interesting. At around 2:15 of the video found here, the mob looks almost exactly like the stone guradians found all throughout Taelosia. Directly afterwards, though it doesn't appear to have 2 heads as in EQ1, that mob looks very similar to the chimera's found in Omens of War, which as we know the two expansions were directly connected. Not to mention the buildings and structures all around them in that half a minute or so of footage looks a lot like the architecture from Gates of Discord. It's too early to get into any real theories on this and I may be completely off track, but I am trying to remember if any Kunarkian mobs looked like that and I can not think of any that are remotely similar. Anyway I found it interesting so I thought I would post it up.
