Ok, ok! Let me quote it before someone else does. "Nothing that takes place after Planes of Power is EQ2 canon unless explicitly stated to be so." Now; that is out of the way. Playing EQ1 since almost the beginning, I wanted to not believe in the whole time split thing but it is indeed a fact and I have grown to actually like the direction they chose to go with in doing that. That being said, I do believe that up to the moment that Druzzil Ro reversed time that the histories of both worlds are one in the same. I believe there were certain plans hatched prior to the time split that remained relevant in EQ2's world just perhaps hasn't played itself out yet or in the same manner as it did in EQ1's later expansions. Anyway, I am getting off on a tangent; that is my theory and I am sure some will disagree. So I was watching the official trailer that was released at fan faire and noticed something very interesting. At around 2:15 of the video found here, the mob looks almost exactly like the stone guradians found all throughout Taelosia. Directly afterwards, though it doesn't appear to have 2 heads as in EQ1, that mob looks very similar to the chimera's found in Omens of War, which as we know the two expansions were directly connected. Not to mention the buildings and structures all around them in that half a minute or so of footage looks a lot like the architecture from Gates of Discord. It's too early to get into any real theories on this and I may be completely off track, but I am trying to remember if any Kunarkian mobs looked like that and I can not think of any that are remotely similar. Anyway I found it interesting so I thought I would post it up.

I just would like to see the Priests of Discord return. Those guys cracked me up.

Those are the Golems found all over Kunark. Notice the Iksar head? Just because they glow doesn't mean anything in particular. Immediately after that in the video was the corpse of a dragon.

i would like to see some things from Gates of Discord and Omens of War see some daylight here. i liked the idea that there maybe another dragon god out there, Dranik, father of dragonkind, who is basically the male equivolent of Veeshan. i also liked the dragonmen race that was on the planet Kuaa, i like them better than the droags. and the Riftseeker race was pretty cool, imo.

Nice, thanks for linking the video too.. had not seen that yet. I am wondering with all the hype in the cities of Iksar attacking ships and so forth, if the Iksar we play now will be forced out of the cities to Kunark? Would be cool to have a new base of operations.. and rejoin our race.

Can't look at the video, but remember that Kunark had the golems for ages before GoD came out. Remember these friends from Sebilis? http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/s...h.shtml?id=4570 That said, I'd love to eventually see EQII's take on Taelosia, and it's interesting to see a slight shift in position that others are interested as well. Though we probably won't see Kuaa, Taelosia will hopefully be a possibility at some point. After all, it is a continent on Norrath, so it has to be around somewhere. (or its remnants)
