What kind of mounts are there and when can i get one? pics would be nice too or decriptions of what they look like

Basically, only the dropped and quested ones have lvl requirements. you gain status by; <ul><li>turning in status items</li><li>doing heritage quests</li><li>doing writs</li><li>killing epic mobs</li><li>pvp kills </li></ul>

No such mounts in eq2. We are getting a rhino mount with the next expansion.

so i can get a mount whenever? i just ahve to have status? and i assume status is mroe for lvl 30+?

And yeah, anything that is purchaseable without the requirements of doing quests you can buy at any lvl as long as you have the money. some mounts have guild lvl requirements, for those you need to be in a guild with an appropriate level.

So in screenshots i saw peopel riding giant armored lizards or something, are those in the game or maybe it was a modded screenshot?

<p>Since you haven't got a clear cut answer:</p><p>You can get a mount at any level as long as you can afford it.  Some mounts, as you noticed, require status points to purchase but this is a mechanism for guilded players to get mounts of a discount.  So, in theory, you could get a horse as soon as you leave the newbie island assuming you've magically been able to get a couple platinum in the process.</p>
