Swashbuckler vs Brigand

<p><b><u>If i should take this question to the PVP forum please let me know.</u></b></p><p>I am a 19 swashbuckler.  I got the jump on a 18 brigand(he wasnt twinked i found out later).  He owned my [I cannot control my vocabulary].  I was in the yellow within the first 2 strikes and was stunned after that until i was in the red.  There has  to be possible to bring down a brigand and not be 4 level higher then him(i took out a 14 brigand who got the jump on me when I was 18 and he was twinked) </p><p> <b>Can some of you Leet Swashbuckler's give me some advise?  Like what is you strategy of combat against certain classes? Also stategy for mobs?</b>  </p><p>Another question is when I start off with my CA my char will just stand there like he is waiting for something.  I am sure it has to do with auto-attack but I am confuse as to how that works.  Why does my char not auto-attack after I do my CA?  BTW when I hit the auto-attack button it says "stop fighting" so I hit it twice to start him up again. But there is still a delay before he starts swinging.  </p>

 I dunno honestly when you get the appropriate Freedom of mind potions or whatever, but generally when you pop one of those Brigands arent hard at all.

<p> Were your spells at least adept III? If they weren't then you are going to get owned a lot. Secondly, the brigand might have had Adept III's or Master I's which would explain why he took you down so fast without twink gear. How many AA do you have versus the brigand? If he has 27 at level 18 there will be no contest if you don't have many. And finally, if he got the first hit then he has control of the fight from the start and will have the advantage.</p><p> Auto attack is delayed by combat arts, run a search on auto attack in these forums, you can find a ton of threads explaining that. You can also ask some higher level swashbucklers for advice, but not all will be helpful or friendly.</p><p>  You can make your character pretty good without having to have "twink gear." Just look at your options for increasing DPS and survivability. O and last bit of advice, stamina line is great for PvP.</p>

he speaks the truth. Im 27 and have 2,200 hp, 46% mitigation and 36% avoidance in offensive stance, 50% mitigation and 41% avoid in defence. I can take hits like a tank and dish out damage like the rogue I am. Maybe you were specced wrong to be fighting the brig, I can only hope so, as I want to keep a good outlook! <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
