AA abilities? Is there any information to be had?

I just started this game after becoming overly bored with a certain other game.  I made a necromancer, and have enjoyed it thus far.  And so, now I'm here trying to find some information about the AA abilities, so that I can make an informed decision about where to spend my points, rather than just placing them blindly while not understanding how effective any of them are.  There seems to be a lack of information and discussion to be had about this topic, at least as far as I have been able to locate.  All I have found is the brief discussion of the pet lines from the summoner tree in the stickied post, which is considered from a raid perspective only.  I would like something more broad, something that reviews all of the choices and not just what is best for raiding.  Is there anything to be had? From what I have gathered, most people seem to spend their points in the summoning tree and not in the necromancer tree.  Why is that?  Do all of the abilities there suck? I also notice that the pet discussions are scout vs mage, without much mention of the fighter pet.  Is that just a raid perspective, or is the warrior pet inferior to these two?

<p>First I won't say do a search because to do so on this subject would horrendous.  But I will say scroll through the last serveral pages of topic here in the necro section.  Look at any thread with AA in the title line, even if it includes the words pvp/raid too.  Any or all of these threads should have at least one tidbit of info you may find valuable.</p><p>After doing this you will have questions, so come back here.  But please provide any of the following info first as it will help getting the correct build.</p><p>Do you plan to-</p><p>Plan to play on a PVP server?</p><p>Will you solo/group/raid mostly?</p><p>Will you be farming with this toon?</p><p>What will be your group makeup if you will be playing with a regular group?</p><p>How good is that group if it exists?</p><p>Are you going to level lock?</p><p>Some of this info you may not know yet, that's fine, just state what you do know currently.  And remember you can respec if things change too.</p>
