Hello everyone..

Fairly new here.. and I have a question that always seems to come up in the later half of the game. What class is most needed at level 70? I dont mean which class has the least ammount of players.. im shooting more for the aspect of which class needs better people at their class

Im an old WoW player and to be perfectly honest with you.. evereyone there always said we had more than enough tanks. In my end game experiance in WoW.. I have only come across 3 undeniably great tanks. All the other were sub par.

So what class is "Needed"

It depends on what your definition of "Needed" is. If your talking about groups I would say any healer, followed by any DPS. If your looking at Raids I would say Shamins(Mystic/Defiler), Bards(Dirdge/Trubidor), and Chanters(Illusionist/Coorser)

To build upon this...

I recently converted from WoW and I am really enjoying the game, if the recent influx of newbs such as myself would like to eventually see the endgame, what is a good class to investigate. OR is it better to play what you want at first and then later reroll into a raiding class once we've learned the game. This games depth is astounding compared to WoW and CoH and other games of similar design. Looking at someo f you vets to give us a hand and lending your experiences to us.

I always reccommend playing what you want/enjoy. It makes the game less of a grind and more of a... well... game. Don't worry about the next raid flavor of the month. All the classes will be needed by someone.

It depend on what you are looking for. Groups: If you are a good player in your class, you are needed. Raids: Depend on what the guilds needs at the current time. Almost impossible to say exact. In generally the Shaman (Mystic/Defiler), Bards (Troubadour and Dirge) and Enchanters (Illusionist and Coercer) are some more uncommon classes, and they are good in raids. But, I would also say that any good player has a good chance anyway It's better to play a common class, having fun and being good at it, compared to playing a rare class, not having fun and not being special good at it

Well I guess what im saying is this..

Ive always wanted to play a tank style class... never really had the chance in wow.. because I was always needed as a healer.

So ive started a Fay Berzerker.. now I pride myself in being the best at my class.. with my Mage in WoW I was always #1 dmg dealer in raids.. as a Healer I was always top of the charts with very minimum overheal(IE Wasted Mana).

So basically I do alot of research on the chars I play and take as much advice as I can from all angles to be the best. What im wondering is this late in the game of EQ.. with me just starting out.. is it even feasable for me to make a name for myself as a tank? I wanna be the goto guy when it comes to finding a tank for grps/raids
