In Echoes of Faydwer, someone who already acquired 70 and did a lot of quests throughout the world since the beginning had to work at finding things to give them AP. Leveling a character from 1-70 and gaining 100 AP is very easy with all of the opportunities one has for gaining them now. I did it in a little over a month and considered starting over again as my mystic briefly, before reminding myself of all of the master spells and gear I had acquired and that I had just leveled a defiler from 1-70 with 100 AP. As of right now, I'm sitting at 98 AP on my mystic and still doing some quests to finish out that 100. Yes, I know...there are probably a number of other threads on this and many people dealt with this all the same, getting to 100 AP well enough and not complaining.

I'm not complaining or saying we need more AP. I am saying that some encouragement to explore the content without worrying about something like this happening again would be nice. I understand that it may be difficult to do, what with how many ill-tempered objections fly around in these boards regarding a plethora of topics on balance and fairness. I, for one, do not like to see "treasured" items of level 70 benefiting a player more than a "fabled" item that took them weeks or months to obtain. I can only imagine that common dropped loot and collection items in Rise of Kunark will render anything acquired in EoF obsolete with how mitigation and effectiveness of items is based on the level of those items.

Some of this is probably already on the minds of the developers currently...and if it isn't, it should be. As far as suggestions go, I'm not really one to make them, as I'm not getting paid for developing this game...but I certainly am guilty of trying to enjoy it.
