View Full Version : Question about achieving first AA point ?
I am a returning player to EQ2 and while I do have a high level character with several AA points, upon rejoining to EQ2 I created a low level character, who is now level 10, and I have a question about achieving AA points ? I thought that we could now get AA points at as low a level as 10 but I have run my level 10 toon around Greater Faydark to get some discovery achievement points and as yet have gotten nothing. I have even finished one quest that was blue and have gotten no AA points. Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong ?

Do you have all of the expansions? I forget which one the AAs started in but without it you wont be able to gain them. Perhaps someone can pinpoint the exact one as I have been playing so long I just dont remember what one it was in ROFL. But I am willing to bet that is your reason.

Not every quest gives AExp, and none under level 10 do.

KoS (for just KoS tree) or EoF (for both) are required. Are you not getting achievement XP messages? Quests need to be level 10+ as well in order for you to gain them (and not all of them do, but most do). Disocvery I'm pretty sure all the location sin Greater Faydark give it so if you don't see the message, chances are maybe an expansion isn't registered in your account?

You wont get any AA running around GFay because most of it is considered lower then level 10 I did start getting discovery AA when I was in the Crushbone area and Spires (both across the river) if i recall correctly (although I think there are only 3 areas to discover). As for quests.. as stated. They must be at least level 10. Writs also work (first time).

Right but exploring the zone like she said she had would grant AA. I dont recall Gfay not granting AA.. Will have to test this tonight after work on a newbie. I had this same problem when I activated my second account and had forgotten that I didnt have all the expansions and I was running around exploring and wondering why I hadnt gotten any AA.

To be honest I wasn't really paying attention.. I did notice the couple I got when I was doing the 15+ quests.. So I just assumed. =)

Thank you for the quick replies !

I am a returning player who just downloaded EOF about a week ago. I have all the expansions and adventure packs. The quest I completed at 10, while blue, was not level 10 so I guess that is why I did not xp for it. But I have been reading on the pvp forums that people are getting AA's starting at level 10. My toons are not on a pvp server, however, but on Everfrost.

I guess if G. So it looks like just the higher levels of G. Fay, where the higher level mobs are, are eligable for AA xp while the other areas of G. Fay with the lower level mobs not eligable for AA xp. That makes sense. Thanks for the help !
