I would like to see an item with the following function. This item would be WW crafted.

Merchant Cart cant be placed in the charm slot and hold up to 100 items. Item may not be manually placed in the merchant's cart, but when crafted items would go into the cart as a default behavior.

I would like to see actual carts in the game.

It would be a Carpenter crafted item and would be an actual cart that the character pulls around with him in overland dungeons. It could either be hand-pulled or horse drawn, but would limit travelling speed to walking pace. You would be able to load your cart with wares and 'go mobile' around Norrath. Travelling by bell straight from cities to TS/Nek docks would be more expensive since you would be paying for freight to be transported also - say 6g instead of 60s per trip.

Each different tradeskill class has a different look of cart so passers by can easily identify what tye of wares you sell and they can buy directly from your cart by clicking on it in the same manner as house furniture sales crates.

Yes, you could stand there on the docks in TS/Nek spamming people who are nearby that you are a trader, but how annoying would that be? With carts you could lay out your pitch on the docks/spires and people would be able to click and browse your stall while waiting to be transported.

Would be nice to be able to load up a cart with all the items you have made, plot up somewhere and sell your wares Could have consequences for lag etc... in some of the more heavily used zones (i.e QH) if a lot of people decide to stay there though

i like your idea as well, but what I am talking about is something that items would go into by default upon creation so that crafters would be able to spend long hours crafting without the worry of inventory space.

And I find it just really time consuming to have my carpie walk from the woodworking table to the bank or to the broker to drop off strong boxes.

Guess Im the only one who thinks this is a good idea ... nix it then, I dont care. It was simply a suggestion as to what would make crafting easier for me ... and I assumed (silly me) that forums for for questions, answers, and suggestions. Guess they aren't ... go figure.

I'll poke one hole in your idea - woodworkers don't make containers, carpenters do.

You can set it up with a convenient mail box and broker board within reach. Keep extra fuel in the house vault, and you're set to go as long as you have resources. Won't help with the trip to the bank, but in some suburbs, the bank is right outside the inn room (e.g., Nettleville and Starcrest), so you just have to click the door and exit. /RS

Don't take anything personally. Churning out ideas, working around flaws etc makes a more solid idea and may also get more hooked on the idea.

I love the idea off of it Spangles ran with which offered some detail of the possibilies got me hooked on the thought. That's been something I'd love to see in game. Not necessarily the form of a cart, but some sort of portable merchant stand.

Also be warned, since you can't be sure what's going to earn you a ban with the inconsistent moderation, if an attack makes you take exception to it, even if you don't take it personally don't bother responding at all- even to acknowledge it. I like the idea myself but don't see much use for it. It would really just be there for ease of transference to the broker. In the instances/workshops it's a few seconds to get to the broker and in a home you can have the broker up at all times. On the outside, no broker is too far off. Traveling sales would be nice but, that would likely be better served by reducing the restrictions on the portable workstations. You also would not have the issue of several afk crafter merchants either on the docks or at zone in- the only places they could rationally be safely....Well actually I'd probably set up shop in CMM heh, repair kits and totems would make me a small fortune there. Overall I think it's a good idea. It just doesn't seem to fit in this game world and adjusting things that already exist seems better. Now, a portable broker akin to the portable mender? That could be a godsend. Overpowered maybe but I'd love it heh.

Yeah, it was late, i was tired ... been up all day. I usually dont respond to people so negatively, but it just rubbed me wrong.

As for the crafting in house, well, I dont have a crafting station to put in my house yet. Maybe one of these days, but our guild is only lvl 21 and those things cost a lot of SP lol.

You hear the new that stations have been added as faction rewards for the TS societies and are not tied to guild level?

I'm thinking the stations were added as faction buyable to help out the unguilded crafters.
