I tried to get EQ2 running on Mandrake Linux with the most recent version of Cedega three or four months ago. The last thing I saw was the patcher and then .. nothing. Though I've heard it is possible to get EQ2 running under Linux, you should better stick with Windows in this case. Probably Cedega's support for EQ2 will become better some day.

There are many threads about this already (here are a couple): <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=368131" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=368131</a> <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=41788" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...?topic_id=41788</a> <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=26026" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...?topic_id=26026</a> It's unlikely that it will ever work with CEDEGA, but anything is possible.

ah thanks..it looks like the answer is a big fat "no" - I wish Sony would get around to making a linux version/patch..but it probably wouldnt net them any more subscribers.

Sabayon:  Yes (Linux localhost 2.6.22-sabayon #1 SMP Sat Jul 21 08:41:12 UTC 2007 x86_64 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux)Worth it yet?  No.  Not all of Directx 9 is working yet.  You have to edit some of the game config files to even get it working.  Most people seem to get to the launcher only due to not changing the config files.  I suggest sticking with Sabayon for the basic stuff until more Wine fixes go in and play EQ2 from Windows for now.
