Is there a place to find out what armor the classes can use?

The general idea is this :

Plate armor : Guardian/Paladin/Shadowknight/Berserker/Inquisitor/Templar

Chain armor : Swashbuckler/Assassin/Ranger/Troubadour/Brigand/Dirge/Defiler/Mystic

Leather armor : Fury/Warden/Monk/Bruiser

Cloth armor : Wizard/Warlock/Illusionist/Coercer/Necromancer/Conjurer

There are some armor that are class specific, but they are exception.

Look at the gear you get when you create a character. That will have an armor type listed on it.

That will be the 'main' type of armor you can use as that class. You won't be able to use anything higher than that, but you can equip stuff lower.

Warriors (Guardians/Berserkers), Crusaders (Paladins/Shadowknights), Clerics (Templar/Inquisitor) can all use plate armor and below.

Shaman (Defilers/Mystics), Bards (Troubadors/Dirges), Predators (Assassins/Rangers) and Rogues (Brigands/Swashbucklers) can all use chain armor and lower.

Druids (Fury/Warden) and Brawlers (Bruiser/Monk) can use leather and lower.

All the mage classes (Wizards/Warlocks/Conjurer/Necromancer/Illusionist/Coercer) can only use cloth armor.

Also if you have a piece of armor (or any equipment really) when you examine it the description will show which classes can equip it. But in general what those above me have listed is dead on.
