So, here I am at 4-4-5 in my crusader in line, nailed 5 AA last night and intend to finish off every quest I have open by xp locking when I begin to outlevel them.

so, I plan on taking 4-4-8 in the int line, doing my 20 in reaver so I can get the Reaver power and then going back and filling out the crusader ST line. (and btw, once you get 5 or more in the spell crit, holy damage batman!)

I am looking to see if anyone can give me details about reaver, how good is it? does the heal work when..say..your armor procs and makes you cast a spell as well?

Any info, ins/outs about the power is welcome.

Any time we cast a spell reaver will proc a heal.

So our grouptaunt(will proc a heal off of each target), single target taunt(not the splitpaw one), our fast cast AoE(each garget it hits), grim coil, our pet, i do belive that procs that say "will cast" will proc reaver. I have seen our blessing proc it but not all procs pop it off.

For the most part if you can cast it on the run it wont proc reavers heal.

As of now we are a bit conflicted if it can crit some say yes some say no. Same for healing adorns and the crit line of the int tree.

is it worth useing your first 20 aa's to get it, or should we get it later after filling in other aa's first?

wow...you heal off of every mob hit by group taunt..thats impressive. So the proc is based off of the hits, not off of the cast. Very interesting, so that means if you use fae-fire and pop a sickening circle wont you get the heal for each instance of fae-fire as well?

Is it considered a healing spell? I mean wouldnt you have to get the next power in the int line to get the heal to proc?

on getting it with the first 20 points, I personally opted out of that path..just because it seems in the low levels I do not need it to much (and alot of the buffs to get to reaver are for spells you dont have yet). Though once my int hits 4-4-8 all points will go towards the reaver line. I have become over night a HUGE MASSIVE fan of spell crit, once yo break 50% your dps is drastically improved, which seems more viable for the 20's and 30's to me.

sorry for talking off topic, but somehow i completely ignored a "splitpaw-taunt" .... is there any proof such a spell exists? I'd be very grateful for any information on this one.

and you need to do some quests in the "Splitpaw Saga" (expansion pack) to be able to buy it. Quite enjoyable quests, but only scales to level 50 i think, so you will get most out of it if you are between level 20 and 50.

Arena count as one as well yes, but i belive you have to do three different ones to make them count, not 100% sure though. But i recomend doing the Trial of Harclave if you are in the level range, really fun and its nice beeing the Heroic for change

It also has 10% chance to do 2x the taunt amount.

I belive that the only spell we have that is affected by "healing" boosts of anytype is our blessing. It is the only skill we have the uses ministartion for its base.

So with that +healing wont affect our life taps or reaver.

But if our spells crit we recive a crit heal in return.(on life taps)

As for using your first 20pts for it that is up to you if you feel you have enough spells that will proc it then go ahead for it.

Also, eq2maps doesnt seem to get many maps right in there.

I just came back from a year break...my advice from the experience I have had and the massive boost in solo ability and tanking from dropping stam and going int/str and reaving.

Go int 4-4-8 first. The crit heals off of your blessings line are still more important than reaving.

Reaving

-The AE taunt only works on the encounter so if you are fighting a 2+ mob encounter its great if not then the single target taunt is better power to life returned.

-Best reaving spells pestilence line, tap veins - these will return health on all mobs in range making fighting 5 and 6 blues doable in my mediocre gear. (3k in healing from tap veins is a huge encounter shift when fighting 5 mobs)

Second best any encounter spell - encounter taunt/despoiling mist

Basically the more mobs you can handle at once the better performance reaving brings to the table.

The bad...I use more power per fight against single mobs. The constant 1% health cost adds up and makes the wisdom line look better and better though I want the str line for the hate and 10% reuse.

The more I use reaving the more impressive it is because of what I can do vs multiple heroic mobs.

This is just my opinion though.
