Any plans to make DoF free hence allowing developpers to rework it thoroughly, given all the problems lack of xp, quests, wrong itemization and so on it would be nice to get it some work like there is in the old zones, or actually make it part of huge quests like SoD2 made you go all over the old zones but no other expansion zones than EoF as you're not supposed to HAVE bought the others limitating whatever the devs can do with the last two expansions packs.

Now that anyway EQ2 is sold will all expansions included making the DoF free for anyone to download wouldn't be such a burden and it really really need people working on it and it would allow so much bigger quests to take place than just always always the original zones and whatever expansion the quest comes from, nothing forbid KoS to be made free as well I certainly don't know the figures involved but thinking someone will buy those expansions alone because he already have the others doesn't make too much sense actually buying the whole EQ2 with the 3expansions at kurnak launch would cost as much as buying kurnak alone if I remember the prices right for EoF release.

So please whatever's easier could you just put new content and more challenging quests through ALL of EQ2 and not forget about the badly made DoF which need a lot of love from any devs avaible and KoS which could use a new thing here or there from time to time?

I would be surprised if DoF was totally revamped due to the fact that the devs are always busy working on new content and fixing bugs and exploits. With EoF and the new zones I suspect a lot of people will bypass all the DoF zones; so the zones become like Temple of Cazic Thule which is an empty wasteland with no players

Whilst DoF has some problems especially in Living Tombs and Silent City I actually enjoyed the zone even if some of the quests were very annoying.

If we had the player base 'of that other game' then I would not have a problem with many new zones added. But since we don't I am under the philosophy to maybe revamp older zones constantly adding (or subtracting) things as time goes along. Like have a 6 month or year invasion from an old Gnoll group through Nek Forest towards CL/Freeport. Rather than constantly adding new zones which turns the older zones into wastelands afterwards.

OR a dungeon like BB or WC be taken over by a evil malignant force that will stop t nothing to destroy the world. Now we can have instanced dungeons that scale with average level of group to go in and fight this horde.

This will get people back into these zones with something new while not necessarily spreading people out even more.

This was one problem I thought with EQ1. They kept adding more and more and turning everything before into nothing.

Adding new content is great. Add newly discovered ancient dungeons or such for an instanced good dungeon crawl and then put a lock out on it so people have to move on and do other instances that would be added the same way over time.

I would really like it if they revamped all of the old content, like turning DoF into a single zone instead of having it split in two, or doing the same for Ant/TS, CL/Nek, and the two first starting cities. I can't say I would feel too happy if they just abandoned each expansion and adventure pack several months after they come out, rather than treating them as an actual addition to the world as a whole.

I think they could add Maj'Dul as a starting city... Of course there is a lot of work to do (putting at least 0 to 20 zone, modifying the city population etc... ) But with the faction story (court) it would be nice to develop around that.
