Recently made another Bruuiser ( 5 days ago ) & have made it to lvl 18 with 14 achievement points my skills all increase in both adventuring , crafting & harvesting all reasonably close to max. amount for this Lvl...All except Safe Fall !

Safe Fall has not increased at all since creation of character, its still at 5 out of 80 something.I remember when you could increase your Safe Fall by jumping as often as possible and not from high altitude ( Griff. towers worked well 'till you got it up high enough to try something more adventurous )and on a regular basis. I forget which LU it was but I remember it allowed jumping distances to be increased for all characters so the new players wouldn't complain about getting killed each time they jumped down to the broker or forge in TS instance.Okay a little sarcasm perhaps but the thrust of the matter seems the same. From that point on Safe Fall has gone into a ( ahem ) freefall - without a parachute ! It bacame harder & harder to increase it now it seems impossible. If a skill that is very much a part of the Monk/Bruiser make up is not functioning surely it must be addresssed or totally removed then to even things skills that are very much a part of other classes need to be removed as well.I don't think other classes would like that & I wouldn't want to see it, can you imagine if a 'guard or 'zerker had aggression removed ?

It needs to be addressed !

You need to find a spot where you take falling damage. Griffon Towers are no longer high enough. Find that spot, leap, rinse and repeat, and you will get increases. Safe Fall is likely the s-l-o-w-e-s-t improving skill we have. Well, that and Slashing.

Slashing is easy once you find a slash weapon just auto attack something! Get a group of buddies and be the role of dps so you don't have to worry about keeping agro with a [Removed for Content] hand

I ahve a 70 ranger that has been stuck at 270/350 forever. I have jumped from the top of Sol Eye to the bottom and not gotten skill-ups. I have jumped everywhere I go - I have played this character for 3 years. I doubt anyone has maxed safefall. The best place is SQ mage tower. Take the portal up and jump down. Rinse repeat. But for me even the longest jump does not give skill up now

My ranger is 20 and has a safefall of 90/100, as you might figure thats not from normal game play. I had to grind that skill up, and grind i did, I think it takes something like 10 jumps from the cliffs in Windstocker for her get one skill up. Frankly it is so hard to increase because we rarely jump from high spots in normal game play.

Yeah it never used to be this tough. Heck you could just jump from the griffin towers through normal play and chances are you got a skillup. Now you actually have to grind it. Not fun. Not critical to gameplay though, so I dont care that much. agressiv

Anyone tried jumping from the Kelethin platforms yet? Or maybe the cliffs overlooking BB Bay?

things might be different now, but I used to go to Vaults of El'Rad or w/e in BarrenSky and autowalk/fall from the top into the teleporter, got my skills up 350/350 while afk for a couple hours

I've seen a bard jump from Crash site to HoF with a safe landing.

I have jumped from the first platform with giants in Sol Eye all the way down to the Nagafen platform. It was a sweet jump and I have to adjust in the air to hit the platform. Talk about saving time running down all those platforms. And guess what, no skill up

I found a spot that works, im 30 bruiser with like 70/150 safefall. In Ant by the Griff tower near Oracle tower, there is a hill (if you walk down the ramp of griff tower to the ground and go straight, you get to the spot on the hill. Basically you can run up this hill and when you get to top, just jump off backwards(you have to jump backwards, just walking off does not have enough height), hit the ground, get update and run back up and repeat. Very boring but I did get skill up and was about 10 tries on average. One question I have, do you get more chance of a skill up jumping from higher spots? Or is the chance the same?

One thing I did on a new character was get Spring-Loaded Gnomish Stilts at level 10. They grant the ability to jump longer so every time you are running and come upon a slight decline, when you jump you actually get some major air. I easily got to level 35 or so in my early teens without grinding. You have to be careful though. I actually died quite a few times from just running across GF and jumping periodically.I haven't checked to see if there is a higher level version of these boots.

Another good spot at lower lvl to up your safefall is in ant by the griff tower leading to TS, there is a hill on the path that you can climb to the top of. I used that before I moved on to the mages tower in SQ, which you can sneak into if you're evil, and it's probably the best place to up your lvl since it has 3 tiers you can leap from.

Could I get the cords and a more specific description pls?

The best time to increase safe fall is before you hit level 10. I was able to get my swashy up to 50/50 in just 15 minutes. After level 10 it takes between 15 to 20 jumps just to get one skill-up.

Its on the island in Barren Sky w/ the teleporter to Bonemire. You will need a group to clear out the first floor then autowalk/fall to your hearts content.

If you really can't get it to skill up, maybe the waterfall in TT would help. I'm not sure how high your skill needs to be before attempting that, however. There is definitely a point at which Safe Fall plateaus completely. Then again, If I never take falling damage I don't care if the skill maxes out.

It is updating, though slowly. I got four in New Tunaria, running around, and one was a very minor fall.

safe fall works fine and in fact been changed to go up rather fast these daysthe trick is to get high enough you take damage,,,if your not taking damage it will not level.thats it.

I went from 140 to max in about an hour and a half in the mage tower in SQeynos. Just make sure you're taking damage, once you quit taking damage move to a higher up teleporter. Taking damage when you fall is key to leveling fast.
