Aweful graphic lag even on high performance.

Now, to start this off. my comp is not new. no where close, but i have tryed to keep it upgraded as much as i could as time changed.. Here are my specs. ATI Radeon 1950xt 512 P4 2.4ghz 1.5gig 2700 ram and i just got a 22" widescreen monitor, but it ran the same on my old 19" monitor on 1024x768 Ive updated all files on my comp that i know to update. Im kinda figuring its the processor. I can play Oblivion/Halflife2/Doom3/ect on pretty high performance at decent settings. I still get graphic lag on Extreme Performance on EQ2. Ive Defragged after patching, downloaded the latest drivers for all my equipment, tryed overclocking (that didnt work too well). Honestly i dont know of much else to do. I dont expect to be able to run the game on high quality with my system... balanced would be great!. As long as im by myself i can run on balanced just fine. But as soon as  PC/NPC char pops up on my screen my FPS will drop 5-6fps for just one more added char on my screen. yep its definitely your CPU. overclock it as much as you can..but that XT should breeze through eq..heck I can play high quality-highest on my 1950GT with only a x3800+ cpu. be sure to turn shadows off as it drains your cpu power.

well, the thing that sucks is my comp is a Sony Vaio and the motherboard doesnt allow me to overclock the cpu. Ive tryed the software that is supposed to work around and overclock it from a windows program.. that made my comp lock up real well. anyways. thanks for your info <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
