here are vision totems that give ultravision and sonic vision. Try those. Dont know what they are called though.

There are a couple items in the game that allow enhanced vision. TBH, I find them all annoying. Nothing provides a view of a night scene as it would look like during the day. They tend to be false color that make picking details out difficult. In any event - Tinkerers make Goggles of the Bat, which grants sonic vision, and Rose Colored Goggles, which give infravision. edit: There are no longer totems that grant that kind of vision. They were taken out a good while ago. The only vision totems that remain grant the ability to see underwater, stealth or invis.

torches can help you see at night.

Never underestimate the value of a stout stick wrapped in an oil-soaked rag and set afire... I'm a Dark Elf, I get Ultravision, and I still use a torch. The various racial visions, for the most part, suck...

People generally think EQ got ultra/infravision right while EQ II didn't.

Do what I did. Download a UI interface. On it there is a choice for night vision. It plays with your gamma for you. http://www.eq2interface.com/downloa...nfo.php?id=4277

Yeah, either your gamma settings are off or your monitor is dying. Nightime in EQ2 isn't all that dark.

It actually gets really dark in eq2 at nights and in dungeouns to me. and thats the way I like it. Too dark? I either pop a torch or ultravision.

My gamma is rather low, so when Im standing in an unlit dungeon with no torch equipped, it actually looks, well, dark! I also don't like gamma wash-out, so I make sure that an outdoors, day-lit scene looks natural.. shadows where shadows should be, highlights where highlights should be, etc.

I'm constantly toggling Profit's nightvision on/off and that seems wrong. Infravision is useful underwater sometimes in EQ2 (as a non-frog). That's about it.

P.S. Torch-Smorch :p

Works great. Just remember to turn off during the day time in Everfrost or it will burn your retinas!

If you download profit ui it has a button you can click that gives good nightvision and doesn't even change colors.
