Tomorrow isn't the release date of the magazine, today is just the last day for preorders. The magazine will ship when you get billed sometime around the 13th. As for the beta invite I wouldn't expect it till sometime in September that's when beta started last year.

Ummmm either way. Why are they shipping the magazine from the UK? I could only choose to use "UK Royal Mail" as my shipping service, and I checked the address 3 times to ensure it was correct. Anyone else know about this or why this is? Isn't EQ SoE headquartered in San Diego?

What, you think Grimwells gonna be on photocopier, Domino and Silverfrost on Staple duty, while Kirstie and Gallenite lick the envelopes and apply the sticky address labels? Be happy that the magazine is being mass produced by a real publisher. I guess the UK was a cheaper option than US publishing companies.

You Should have Read the Little * a Bit Closer. Legal Terms *Terms and conditions may apply, including having already separately purchased and installed the EverQuest II full game software, acceptance of the EverQuest II Rise of Kunark Beta Program Terms of Use and Non-Disclosure Agreement and having valid, current and active EverQuest II and Station accounts and beta program registration. So if I'm Understanding This Correctly EQuinox Subscribers Will get a Beta Key but will still have to go Thru the Beta Registration Like Normal. And Even Being assured that you Will at Some point allowed into Beta Does not mean that you Will be allowed into the First Round of Beta. Invitations will be sent out at different Points during the Beta Possess even up till a week before the game goes Live.

Well some people left for Vanguard a little while back, then crawled back with their tails between their legs (and some people did see this coming a mile away frmo Vanguard's announcement to be honest). Funcom's game doesn't even have the 'questionable' lure that good ol' Bradley had with Vanguard - Funcom's claim to fame is one of the best adventure games in gaming history (The Longest Journey) and the worst MMO launch and subsequent demise of their only MMO - Anarchy Online. It isnt exactly the best history and looking at what we know of Conan, at most its going to be a niche game. It'll probably be struggling even more much like its former MMO when Warhammer comes out anyway. Honestly the only MMO that will have a significant impact on EQ2 is Warhammer when it comes out because its their rivals Mythic (who are rather good - see DAOC) and it takes on a part of the game that EQ2 simply hasn't done too well in - PvP. However I suspect very much that around the time of Warhammer's release SOE will reveal plans for their own battleground, RvR areas on the servers to keep the PvP players interested. After all PvP on a seperate server was never a solution since its all or nothing. Warhammer shows a progression from PvE to end game PvP with a balance in between and I am sure SOE will respond with PvP RvR options on all servers to keep likeminded players where they are. So I think EQ2 has nothing to worry about unless in the future SOE continue to ignore PvP aspects on the blue servers, do not touch the failed arenas and thus remain the ONLY MMO to have no real PvP aspect on their normal servers as an option. Little off topic from EQuinox but a point of no real issues for the point being of competition

EQ2 is becoming the Sims with dragons.
