I haven't tested the new Indium lights yet, but the Ironwood table lamp gives off the best light IMO.

For the cost, the common tier two Comely Iron Chandelier has always been one of my favorites. I hang one at each intersection of ceiling joists in all my characters homes, and it seems to light them well. If your graphics system can handle it, the Ornate Cobalt Table Lamp gives off decent light with impressive shadows.

The new indium candelabras don't give off light, which was a minor disappointment, since in the zone that they are from they seem to give off a bright light there. I solved the problem by hiding a tin sconce behind the indium candelabra and now it looks like they have a nice glow. I've used Iron sconces and tin sconces when I wanted nice light, just as a cheap solution, though the others that were mentioned give off nice light too. I really do like the ironwood table lamp as well.

The new lanters give off a LOT of light and there is a hanging version and a table version. They are also relaly tiny and since the rafters still eat lights you can finally use the bug to advantage and hide them in the rafters to light up your house.

I put one in the rafter then hung a non light giving chandelier that I liked the look of from the same spot and it is now bright and I get to see the light I like the look of best.

The adamantine lights are obscenely bright. I made 4 to put in one room and it completely washed out any other lights and made the whole room blue. One of these per room is enough.

One thing I'm surprised doesn't put out more light is that big old chandalier... the standard feyiron one that hangs too low for most houses. I put three in the main hall of the big house in SQ and they barely illuminate the room. They really look cool tho...

Paladin Brazier is good -- also Enchanter light which you used to be able to buy from the newbie house merchant.

One nice feature that Domino added recently is a description of how much light you can expect from the light source. Check the examine. Non-light sources should say "this ornamental light fixture gives off only a gentle glow" and true light sources that really do give off light should say "a warm light shines brightly from this finely crafted fixture". Here's a link to a thread where Domino discusses the various player-made light sources. If you scroll about halfway down this page, you'll see a list she made of all the lights and whether they are real light sources or not. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=362806

It's the black stand with lights spiraling along the middle, each candle a different colour and gives off a nice glow from each, right? If I have the info wrong, my apologies...been up all night outfitting alts.

I fell in love with this site when I was on a decorating kick: http://eq2.eqtraders.com/articles/a...tr=070080000000 As mentioned earlier, adamantine lamps are an obscene amount of light, but fulginate militia sconces are a great way to light a room on a budget.
