Yeah, when I need food/drink I can easily make it for myself, but I certainly dont use crafting to make money. Note: some crafter classes probably do better than others for making money, but the point is that no you dont need to craft to make money.

other then crafting or harvesting what would be the best way to make money then ?

Some of the best ways to make money are by harvesting for crafting raw materials and searching zones for "?"s. In both cases, gather them up to sell them on the broker. Some harvestables and ?s are not worth much money, but there are rare versions of each which can be quite profitable.

Farm. Or find a small team to regularly group with and run instances, following up by selling the loot over the broker. Masters and legendary/fabled gear are going to be your best cash makers, but even adept 1's and trash loot can add up to a decent amount. Learn to use the broker, without being comfortable with it, you'll find it difficult to make cash.

While crafting may not be your ideal way of making money it is a nice crutch to have when you really need it. I have a 70 Jeweler and I can make a ton of money with him. With how frequent rares drop, I make jewelery, adept 3 spells, and symbols and can generate multiple plat a day for maybe an hours worth of work.

As others have stated, ?'s, harvesting rares also work very well. (If you just want to sell)

Farming/harvesting for rares is easy money. A level 20? can farm t2 areas like commonlands/antonica for an afternoon and make a plat off the rares, but only if you know how to price them correctly on the broker...

Yeah anything. Some of the raw material, depending on the tier, won't sell for much but there are some that are more expensive. For example carbonite, the T3 metal, can go up to 12 silver each, however a cluster of gold in the same tier doesn't sell if you put it for more then two coppers. It depends on how many classes use it. Carbonite is used by alot of crafting classes so it is expansive while velium is mostly only used by scholars and therefore is cheap as dirt.

You should gather all that you see so it will make room for more nodes of the type of mat you want will spawn. Plus grab and "?" or "!" you will see since some of them sell for loads and can be used for collections.

Farming can also refer to hitting an instance or particular area known for especially tasty loot. If you and a few others regularly hit an instance that cons green to you, you can motor through it and pull some items that might garner you a few coins.

I have found that some of the payed instances (mini expansions) are a good way to farm a bit of extra money at lower levels. Some of the recipes and spell books sell well enough.

how do the solo paid instance work cause it shows lvl 20-50, that a huge gap, is it set up based on the level that you entered the instance in ? and i'm assuming that lvl 20 is a good time to purchase splitpaw Forgot to ask this, does non-paid instance work the same, based on the level you enter it at ?

sorry if this a really noob question but what does that mean, that the further you going is where you find the lvl 50 content ?? or if you enter at lvl 20 or 50 that the whole area will be based on the lvl you entered at

Put it where its easy to spot in your room. Voila, you are now selling from your room. Well, everything in that box you are.

The very best way to make some money is to play the broker game . You need to watch prices and buy if someone made a mistake. Then you can sell for normal prices. Very good way to make money, because there are a lot of mistakes out there that just need to be found by you . Thats what i do if i need money because my Defiler cant farm those instances. (not in a reasonable amount of time )

Farm Living Tombs (its in Sinking Sands). I can blow up the entire place in like 30 minutes. Real farmers (plat sellers) are always there of course, but they take so [Removed for Content] long to kill a mob you can just blow right past them.
