Depending on what class you are, use those rares you found from harvesting T2 and make your level 10 to 20 character some nice mastercrafted euipment.

You might find it useful to read over Niami's excellent Outfitter Guide on EQ2Traders for some specific tips. Though, the above suggestion is also a good one for any type of crafter. And welcome to the game! For non-crafting-related questions there are also some good stickied threads in the "Newbie" forum that may assist.

As you go along you should be thinking about whether you think you might like to choose Armoring, Weaponsmithing or Tailoring and get a feel for what kinds of items these three make. At level 20 you will be asked to choose one of these specialties. While it used to be the rule of thumb that you would simply grind out recipes, a good way to speed you on your way is to combine work orders with the first time you make each recipe (discovery). Work orders come in two main varieties: timed and untimed. I would start with the untimed ones until you get a good handle on making recipes. Within each of those two categories are a range of difficulties, so you can tailor your work orders to your skill at crafting. Work Orders give an extra experience boost when you turn them in and pay you back for fuel as well as a little coin. Definitely try to sell some of the things you make. There is still a market for some of the items you can make between level 10 and 20, especially the rare ones and rare harvests are more plentiful at that level. This will give you a good idea of how the broker works and how to tell if you might be better off trying to sell a particular item on the broker or whether you would be better off cashing in for the cost of fuel so that you can make something else. Good luck and welcome!

With the latest LU you now get the option to re-choose your subclass so if you decide to change it's not a big deal.

Armouring - Makes plate and chain armour - not a great deal of use at T7 as mob drops are better quality

Weaponsmith - Same as armouring but makes weapons and shields

Tailoring - Makes clothes (leather and cloth), also backpacks and hex dolls. Well worth picking this
