EQ2 and a fresh install of Vista 32bit

I've just reformatted my PC and installed Vista 32bit. Only things currently running are MSN, AVG Anti-Virus and thats it. In Qeynos Harbor, the game crashes out as it tries to get more than 1.5Gb of RAM (and apparently the OS wont give it that). Does anyone else with Vista experience this problem? Do I need to add any special registry tweaks or anything like that?
