How do you get rid of your last name?

I just want to get rid of my last name i just dont want one anymore...

<p>  Delete your last name then after you have deleted all the characters hit the space bar once so that, in effect, you last name is " " (no quotes... just one blank space) then accept... that should clear your lastname out.</p><p>  This is all done from the 'p' screen, I think, hit 'p' and it shold be under options... anybody else here? I don't have the game open so I'm not positive.</p>
