I have been playing EQ2 for a few years on high-speed internet but I am going to college this fall and I might be stuck with dial-up. I was wondering if dial-up affects alot gameplay; currently I do not have any problems since I am running a good enough system.

Window XP Multimedia Center Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.2 GHz 2 gigx DDR RAM ATI X1650 Pro video card

I think the only thing might be a problem is raids and patches.

the game is still playable on dialup..it might not be as smooth and lag free but its certainly do able. if you're going to college and live in a dorm they should have high speed internet..super super high speed

When I am at work or on a watch, I actually play on a laptop with dialup. I mostly keep options on balanced. Sometimes when I boost the graphics a little, there is a little lag. However, I have never really had too much of a problem. Oh, dialup does drop from time to time and zoning takes about 1-2 min. haha but I can live with that.

Of course, I do 90% of my playing on a desktop but the chance to play on my laptop at work or on watch, makes the day much more "gooder."

Enjoy
