They announce Timorous Deep as a neutral city... They now say that it will be Evil...

I'm surprise... I left EQ1 before sarnak became a playable race... So, first question, what was the alignement of the Sarnak in EQ1?

Iksar was neutral if I remember well (except on some server) in EQ1

Now Iksar are evil and Sarnak too... and they will fight each other? Are they thinking to change the Iksar for Neutral ? =D

And I've see somewhere that there will be a new free expansion like neriak / DW / Arasai before the ROK, someone have an idea what will be the content No clues?

Waiting for your comments

(Sorry for my english)

The Sarnak in EQ1 I'm pretty sure were evil but the Sarnak that we will be playing in EQ2 are not the same Sarnak. Our Sarnak have completly different looks and have only been "alive" for 50 years. Heh, they were discovered by the avian race there (Spiroc) and then used as slaves....Needless to say there wern't happy about that and fought back.

Anyhow, the city being evil is still up in the air. Seems the Devs are still undecided about what the final city will be and switch between neutral and evil. Personally I'm voting for neutral. We already have 2 good cities and 2 evil cities give a true neutral starting city darnit!

The bonus content before RoK comes in two parts. Bristlebane is coming back, and Legends of Norrath, the CCG, will be coming out within the next couple months.

The main reason they decided against a true neutral city is because of the effect it would have on PvP servers. For instance if you create a Sarnak who is true neutral, then which factions are allowed to attack them? Would they be exiled? Etc..

i was on a different topic about this and someone brought up a good point. It may start of as a Neutral city then become Evil, like Kelethin, Since kelethin was neutral at first then changed to be a good city... ok well i dont remeber that but someone else said they remebered that and others agreed, so that could happen

And anyway, it's only 4 servers... They shouldn't care about it. Joke

If you choose a neutral class you should beable to pick good or evil, you would like to side with.

Raid content in the form of Bristlebane's avatar. Cool items that drop from said avatar, if you manage to beat him.

Ok, Iksar where never Neutral.. They where an Evil race... The difference was they hated other evil races as well.. So we could not go to neraik and Ogok and paineel and such like the other evil races since we where KoS ... The first City other then Cabalis that an iksar could goto (without doing faction gaining) was Thurgadian in [Removed for Content]. Sarnaks are an evil race... Chardok was not full of neutrals lol =P Them becomeing neutral is a bit of a stretch....

They're a new breed/race that was only really unearthed 50 years ago. So them being neutral isn't to much of a stretch because well...I imagine they're rather isolated and don't know much of the world.

While I hoping for the city to remain neutral, allowing any to live there I can see the obvious problems. If Sarnak are neutral and start there, what happens when they pick a good/evil aligned class ? Trainers for all classes would make the other cities redundant. The most obvious non neutral race that would want to live there are the Iksar. How does a predominately evil race fit into a neutral city ?

The original continent of Kunark from EQ 1 was mainly evil (Iksar cities and Dark Elf outpost) with only one bastion of good (Firiona Vie).

So here is hoping they find a way to pull of a truly neutral city as I was hoping to make a Sarnak monk. But if it means living in Qeynos I'll be making another neutral/evil class.

Sark.
