Since nobody seems to want to answer this and I had the same problem and resolved it, I'll let you know how I resolved it.Here's the trick:Download the Play the Fae free trial downloader and use it.  I couldn't get the regular launcher to work no matter what i did with admin rights and compatibility mode, but the Trial downloader worked without a hitch.
