Is there going to be a Beta app for people who didn't make it to Fan Faire? I mean I would have gone but the plane fare from Australia was a bit out of my reach. I'm really excited by LoN, since I was a M:tG fan from long ago, actually the only thing that broke my Magic addiction was a game called EQ

Im just glad they are adding a game into EQ2...and its gonna be better then gems! Sure eq1 will have it too but that will make it easier to play with someone.

I do think it a little unfair that people are being allowed to join beta just because of a geographical accident of where they happen to live. Fan Faire is completely out of reach for the vast majority of players.

But...c'est la vie.

I have not played MTG for about 10 years. There were several reasons I quit: broken cards, too many expansions coming out to compete against rich people and the primary one was the whole "Your effect fizzles because I sacrifice him to generate his own special effect" crap that made the game pointless. I look forward to this one, it looks pretty cool.

I think it has more to do with willingness to spend lots of money and your vacation time on a trip to what is at its most basic lvl a Confrence, or if you want to spend that time and money(a lot less money in some cases) on a vacation closer to home.
