A bunch of us have come back after about 2 years or so and we're back in a small guild we created before we left. The GM is no longer around, however. We would like to promote any of the current members to GM status for guild maintenance, etc. We've petitioned and after a week, still don't have a response. Are there any commands we can use to force a guild promotion? It seems the petition system isn't too reliable and we'd like to get this taken care of asap. Thanks.

I don't believe there is any command that can be used to do promotions without an actual Guild Leader.

But one question I have, do you get an e-mail response back from SOE when you send in your petition? If you are not getting an e-mail confirmation when you send a petition then I think that petition has actually not gone anywhere.

I had a guildie with the same problem and we went over his petition and found out he was not doing a selection from the drop down menu on the left hand side of the in-game tab, the one that states which expansion you are petitioning about..or just using the general selection.

I sent a petition on Sunday morning and within minutes I had my e-mail confirmation back. The petition involved a possibly bugged quest and by Sunday evening a GM had come on with my character and gotten my quest problem taken care of.

Don't know if this might be part of your problem but hope this has helped to get your response. They are really good whenever I send one in.

Ah, that's a possibility. I wasn't the one that submitted the petition, but I'll look into it. Maybe I'll just have a few of us submit one and see what happens. Thanks for the info.
