http://eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Netherous_Realm:
Creates a powerful negative energy field around the warlock that continually radiates. Anyone affected by the radiation will be dealth additional poison damage every time they are the target of a hostile poison or disease based spell. This spell has a recurrent power cost.
It is a poison damage proc that triggers on any mob in range that gets hit by a noxious damage spell.

Check your range then. If your seeing 'no targets in range' being spammed in your chat box, its netherous realm that targets aren't in range of.

Yeah, the range on NR is less than the range on a lot of our other nukes. I want to say it's 25m compared to 35m for the others, but I'm not in the game ATM.

Basically, you cast Netherous Realm. It's a buff on top of you. Every tick it emits a debuff (called netherous realm) on every encounter you have engaged within a certain distance. (i.e. if you're soloing, it doesn't emit until after your first nuke) Yeah, I would say the range is ~25m. This debuff has one trigger, which is ignited by you hitting that mob with any spell that does damage; after that one shot, it poofs from the mob. The catch is, as long as the neatherous realm buff is on YOU, the debuff will reapply on every tick, as long as the mob is in range and engaged. It will even stay up to one tick beyond when Netherous Realm expires on you. This is why I usually start off my full blast AE spell cycle with Dark Infestation, and then Chaostorm before Apocalypse...because Chaostorm is fast casting at only 2 seconds compared to Apoc's 4. (I think) Chaostorm will also engage all the nearby encounters, if you tank hasn't done so already. In a raid situation, its not really an issue since the tank has so many reverse procs on him. The reason why I think the AA enchancement to Netherous Realm is bad, is because many of our spells go upwards 4 seconds casting time...if you get the AA enhancement, yeah, Nether Realm will trigger quicker...but you're going to miss some triggers entirely unless you have large amonts of spell haste.

ANY poison/disease spell casted on said mobs will trigger the proc once it goes off. so u cast it, it hits said mobs. any SK/Necro/Warlock/ rogue poison/ either of our tank buffs or attack trigger buff will trigger this on the mob. i know this due to the fact that when i raid we have 3-4 necros and a SK and i swear this effect is harldy on the mob for more then a few seconds. so in effect with necro/sk or yourself it will always go off. so it is verry usefull to cast on inc and each time it is up in your casting order

How does the hate work with this spell? If other classes with poison/disease spells can trigger this, do you get the hate? Also, how do you SEE it do damage? Is it yellowish numbers like Dark Infestation?

hate is just like any of our other spells, it goes to us, it is the normal orange for normal damage, and i have seen the effect when it casts on the mobs proc one of my several items ( BCG,GRizz Etc). its pretty similar to the assassins mark, the assassin puts it on the mob, but any melee attack can trigger it. assassin gets the hate/damage
