I just came back to try EQ2 again after they offered it to me for free for a while. Anyway, last time I played was about a year ago, so I'm really, really lost, especially when it comes to EoF. I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to get started with EoF. I'm a level 70 Coercer on Nagafen, Freeport side (probably gonna exile somewhat soon). The main things I was wondering: AA points - I only have 27, and I've noticed that most level 30s have that many now What's the best way to go about catching up? Also, quite a few have changed, any advice as to which AAs to spend points in? Quests/Groups - Where are the best places in EoF to solo quest at 70, and where would I go about finding a decent exp group? Deities - I think I can handle this one. Looks like, based on another thread here, Innoruuk is a decent choice for a deity. I'll just go through that quest line and see where it takes me. Those are the main points, anything else I should know about EoF? Any help is appreciated. It'd be nice to catch up a little so I'm not quite as far behind for RoK

Welcome back to EQ2. Well being a lvl70 toon with only 27 AA points is kinda odd but understandable if you've not been around. Dunno if you could ifnd enough T7 solo quest lines that would catch you up to 100. Tenebrous Tangle doesn't really offer up much for quests that 60+. Barren Sky and Bonemire have some if you had never done those before. As far as EoF, The Loping Plains is the T6 zone. Somborn Village has got quiet a few solo quests and then some heroic lines as well. Beings how your a coercer even most of the heroic lines should be soloable. I myself have soloed almost all of them. My favorite mob to charm in Loping Plains is a Mistmoore Censor. It's mage mob with some pretty good nukes. The T6 zone Lesser Faydark might still have some lvl60 quests that you could do, but then the XP or AA might not be that much. As far as groups there are a few places that T7 groups can go for nameds and XP grinding. Some of the dungeons and instances are: Kaladim (Butcherblock Mountains), Unrest (Butcherblock Mountains), The Obelisk of Blight (Lesser Faydark), Acadechism (Greater Faydark), New Tunaria; has some T7 content (Greater Faydark), Crypt of Valdoon (Loping Plains), Mistmoore Catacombs (Loping Plains), and Castle Mistmoore (Loping Plains). I think that just about covers the T7 instances or dungeons for EoF. Then there are a few raid zones as well; Emerald Halls, Freethinker Hideout and I think Mistmoore Inner Sanctum is raid also (never been there personally). For deity i went with Innoruuk as well. The whole quest line from start to finish is easil soloable unlike some of the other deities. Some other things you might could do is to mentor a lower level character to do some of the lower level quests for AA, or groups that are out in duneons named hunting in case there are some lower level named mobs that you have not killed yet.

Thanks for the reply Orlax. I'll probably check out Loping Plains when I get a chance. I'll try mentoring down to my brother's ultra-twinked level 35 warden and see if we can't knock out some heritage quests for aa

When I got my 1st 70, I only had 34 aa's on it. I've never really chased aa's with that toon, and it's got 73 now. Someday I'll probably go out mentor/questing, but for now, I've still got a lot of raids and high-end content I've not done that should give me more still. As it is, I never felt like I was lacking at all for not having AA's.

My coercer has. . . 67 aa's now, IIRC. She does just fine too. Been 70 for a little while. I thnk I had 60-ish when I dinged. I'm not really worried about it. I know they'll come, sooner or later.

Plus after lvl 70, your exp goes straight into AA exp (or it least it used to-I myself am a returning player).
