I'm getting pretty tired of my Conj atm and was thinking about rolling an SK. I've played a few SKs before so I know what they're capable of doing. I'm a true soloer at heart and love to take on names for the challenge. However, my biggest concern with this class is the fact that they can't stealth. They have no to get pass all the "trash" mobs. I love my conj because I can wake up in the morning and go to RoV to kill some names really quick before work. The process usually takes no more than 15 minutes. But on an SK this would be a long and brutal challenge to fight through every mob that will agro you, and then have to deal with re-pops every chance you get. Is there a way you guys deal with this problem? I know you have FD, but 5 minutes is way too long.

AAs can cut FD down to 2.5 minutes, if you have divine aura you can get super far without even having to FD also (can cast it on the run as well).....Chameleon totems for invis. Tinker items if you decide to tinker can FD also.

when you can use them chamelon totems are you friend their cheap and very nice for when you need to stealth though I find plate wearing classes are better able to just run past stuff w/ a decent mount and we can Feign or evac if we really get in trouble.

Don't the totems also have a 5 min recast?

Heh, I didn't think of using both. Thanks for the reply. I have one other question that regards armor, I don't really want to make another topic so I'll just post it here. Should I be focused on +str, +sta, +agi vanguard mastercrafted armor every tier, or should I get the +int, +sta, +str set? I can see that most SKs spells increase with int and I've heard that SKs have power issues. What would you go with?

I prefer the Vanguard...but many SKs prefer the Devout for the INT.

I don't suffer from power issues...its also not all you either. If your group is loaded with DPS classes, well geared, have power proc items/totems/manastone, power regen classes with you etc etc.....its not really much of an issue. It depends also on what Con mobs you fight and the pace you run. A lot of that applies to soling as well...depends on the fights you pick and your overall gear lvl and itemization....as well as AAs...+power pool specc'in (if you're really worried about that) etc. etc..

If you prefer vanguard look, go for mixed armor. Vanguard for all slots that shows and the rest devout and lots of INT jewelry

Find a friendly jeweler that wants to make it for you. Provide the raw materials and they will make it for you.

Lived till lvl 52 with a mastercrafted Breastplate/Shield and mastercrafted club, rest handcrafted and replaced it piece by piece with loot. Jewelery all handcrafted same as with armor. When I did hit lvl 52 two weeks ago I got myself a full mc Devout armor, still handcrafted jewelery (imbued no need to spend plats on mc before 62 in my eyes). AA's STA 4,4,8 INT 4,4,8 EOF a few points in the line where reaver is the endability (5 points in blessing is a must) rest in the first tree (3 in all points to increase my tanking abilities). The char is now 55 (55 AA's) and shortly said I ROCK. I can solo like a god, I have absolutely no problems to tank all T6 content (only icenova from a wizzi I duo with makes me headache). I use lvl 70 Food and drink so mana/hp-reg between fights is a breeze. You read a lot of whinning in this forum about nerfs here and there. This class is ULTRA for casual players. I played a dirge for nearly two years. Just got tired of the time consuming raiding, endless hours of discussing tactics and waiting for the next fabled item to drop. The shadowknight brought me the fun back with this game, something I nearly lost. So enjoy your char and spread the word of Lucan D'Lere over the world of Norrath. Housedog

Housedog
honestly, most of us playing sks love the class. Getting nerfed doesnt sit well when you love the class, no matter by how little you actually got nerfed.
