Hey i am new to the game and i just got the game form D2D but i have a few things to ask... I have Everquest 2 trail of the Isle on the computer and i logged on to my new account on the trail and n0w it is downloading all this files with the pacther and its at 4 hours to go..Is this downloading everything new on my account? or should i just download the Zip-Setup file on D2D which has about 53 hours to go.... So whats the best to do after buying form D2D? Download the rest form the Trail Client? or Download the zip-Set up form D2D? Thank you!

I haven't done it in a while, but way back when I just let the trial update.. everything was fine. So I would just leave it.

I was told that the trial downloads the full game, but if you bought the all in one set up from d2d you probably want to download that cause im fairly certain, that the play the fay would only download the original and EoF expansion and the regular trial of the isle would only download the original game.. and you'd want to download the other two expansions if you paid for them.

Ah.. your right. I did not consider the expansions. I have no idea of any if that content is in the trials.

The patcher should check your account and figure out what you need and automatically download it for you (including expansions). I would still download the .zip from D2D so I could burn it to a DVD for later installs. Good guide how to burn the .zip to DVD's for easy install later: http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=374468

That's both a good and a bad thing. :/

To install it again or move to other computer, just copy the folder to any place on that computer and run eq2.exe. It will automaticly download and install SoE launcher and update the game to the current state.

when everything has downloaded, go into 'My Account' and it will tell you everything you have. You can go in to that from the log in screen or from this forum.
