Hello all i just recently downloaded the all in one package and it seemed to be going well but i still cannot create a charater to play with . Charater select Unavailble is the icon on start menu , the play button is lite up and and i can hit it . When it looks like its going load it just exits me out and does nothing . I registered accont and payed for a month , i figured maybe servers down or updating soo i checked now for 3 days at different times . Wondering now if i can even play now , is that ROK exp Active ? Any advice or suggestions very welcome thank you.

You can ignore the "character select unavailable" thing. All it refers to is if you have a character made you can log directly into the game with that characer and bypass the whole character select screen. But it's extremely odd that when you click the play button it drops you to the desktop. I'm afraid I don't know why it would do that.

If you are on Vista, run the game with admin privileges. Right-click the EQ2-icon on the desktop (if you don'have one, create one by rightclicking the game .exe and choose send to desktop), select properties and look for the "run as admin" thing. This way it will run as admin whenever you use the icon.

Post on the Tech Support Forums and please read the ***Read Before Posting *** post first.
