Both races mentioned in the subject have "fae fall" that makes it so they can fall any distance if they are not locked in combat and take no damage.

My first issue is, how can either race ever skill up safe fall since fae fall negates any damage from a fall?

My second question is how can either class skill up in swimming either? God knows ive swam around with a fae and arasai and they never get skill ups. i swam around in water for 15 minutes and the skill never went past 5 when at the time my cap was 125.

For falling... you are right. If you want to level up safe fall, you will have ot be in battle with a grey mob and continually jump off a high area. As for swiming, I have had no trouble levleing up swiming.

you can always go afk and press numlock and be in water, make sure you have a water breather or something so you don't die

Why would need safe fall? You have Free Fall which is vastly superior imo, only drawback is that you only need to take 1pt of dmg and you suffer instant death: mah fae warden make the mistake of running past a skellie caster before jumping off a short cliff, the skellie only hit for 12 pts of dmg when ah fae was about a foor off the ground but he still died (he had a couple hundred HP at the time)

Both mah fae and arasai haven't had any trouble increasing swimming, no more than any other race

Get a cheap mount other then a Flying carpet and then you can work on Safefall if you wish, as a Horse and a Warg are just to heavy for your little Fae/Arisai wings.

However, Fae Fall and more importaintly Glide IMO are the best parts of being a fae/arasai.

:EDIT:

as far as swimming goes basicly you have to be under water for it to skill up, this is true for all races, though it used to not be true. I don't know if its a bug or an Unanoucned "feature" though.

On a pve server just having fae fall would be fine but if you are "fae falling" on a pvp server and someone attacks you it breaks and safe fall is needed.

Its why I asked the question since fae fall cant be used in an actual pvp sense.
