Hello everyone.

I've been wanting to make a new class, but i can't pick between swashbuckler or brigand, becase i don't know which class is better even after doing research. Please post your opinions and why which class you say is better. I also want the class that has less spells where you have to use stealth or attack from behind, because that gets annoying,

Thanks,

Xandr

If you don't want to have to get behind the mob, don't play a swashie or a brigand. I would suggest a zerker or a bruiser.

position is a part of rogue dps, you'll deal with it or you'll suck.

Between the two the swashbuckler has less positional ca's, the majority of your ca's will hit from the front

Swashbuckler does more AE damage, debuffs the mob's ability to do damage, and is Qeynos. Swashbucklers have a hate transfer to in-group member. Brigand specializes in single target, debuffs the mob so you do more damage to it, and is freeport. Brigands have a self hate reduction. Both classes have lots of utility and are valuable in groups or raids.

I can deal with the positioning attacks once i get use to it, but which do you recommend on a beginner at a scout class and which do you think is better and why?

I think you will adapt to a swashy pretty easily, they only have 1 attack that you have to be in stealth & I think 2 (maybe 3) you have to be on the side or behind, I have never played a Brig before, but my first toon was a swashy & they are pretty easy to learn, with walk the plank in the Strength or Agility AA line (cant remember which line its in) takes care of 1 (or 2 if your fast) of the backstabs as it makes your enemy turn its back to you for an attack (or two if your quick) & they get a mez which you can use for a quick backstab, a swashy is very easy to solo, basically all the swashy attacks are from the front except a few & they get some great debuffs to, my swashy is by far my favorite toon
