I'm a 2 year experienced eq2 player, but have always played support roles until recently when I created a SK. I have played the following classes Ranger (70), Wiz(49), Inq(54),Warden(25),SK (35), Necro(21). I just convinced my friend to play with me and after a hesitant start with a Bruiser in neriak, while I brought my warden for company, she decided she wants to play a good healer rather than the evil brawler. I was thinking to start a character to join her with the as well, and was thinking a traditional tank/healer duo. While I have read some threads on duos, they seem to be caster/scout/healer or when Tank/healer usually sk or bruiser i.e. evil toon (they seem to be more offensive and do more damage) I don't forsee any raiding, so I don't care about end game abilities, but I want to make sure we can participate in heroic dungeons either by our self or with a group. As a duo, DPS ability of both players are important so I'm wonder about the good/neutral aligned classes for tank dps. I found my mele spec'ed warden can do some nice damage and still have power enough to heal, not sure how a mele spec'ed mystic will compare? I can sacrifice some killing expedience for having a duo that can handle a ^^^ named in a dungeon, as long as it's not getting tedious. My Inqy is no fun to solo so I want to make sure we can do some damage so my friend don't get bored from it before I get her hooked on the evercrack.

Classic good tank/healer combos? AFAIK You should go Berzerker/Fury. Both classes do pretty good DPS and can tank/heal very compentenly. Plus Furys get SoW, Evac, Root and Ports now. For evil (feel free to correct me here) you could go Bruiser/Defiler. The Defiler's wards heal the Bruiser's avoidence tanking very well and the combination of DPS/Debuffs should make it pretty effective.

I have had a fine time duoing my mystic with my husbands berserker since shortly after release. There has been very little standard herioc content we couldn't handle as a duo. Even named weren't a problem when we were leveling up.

The more aa we got the better the duo got. I kick out some pretty decent DPS these days with full melee spec and I have never had power issues when duoing (actually never had power issues except on some raids where there is a power drain to tell the truth).

Berserker and fury would be great. Plus you can add four of anything and you have a group.

With buffs taken in consideration?
