Possible to give carnivorous house plant to an alt?

Hi, I was wondering if its possible to somehow move my carnivorous house plant to a different alt of mine. It says no trade, but if I destroy it, will it become a possible option again in the /claim window? Thanks.

<p>Do not destroy it - would be gone forever.</p><p>If you wish to delete the character with the item, you can place it in the alt's room, and it will persist after the character deletion (I would expect it would, as I have lore/no trade items from alts long gone in my SQ house)</p><p>With the recently added house moving box, all items in a room are packed up for relocation when you move, even those above mentioned items.</p><p>So no, you can't trade it, but you can place it in the alt's room</p>

ok thanks, i had the first alt designated as trustee to my other alt's home, and i dropped off the plant there. seemed ok!
