Ok this is my question,, I have been playing eq2 since it came out but until recently I never needed to do this. I was wondering how do I save chat conversations and get both sides of the conversation. I looked in my eq2 folders and came up with this>>eq2cmdhistory... however it records only my side of conversation and not much of it. Can anyone help me??

Command to save all the spam in your chat windows is /log It saves it as a gigantic text file in your sonyeq2logs folder You would have to go through it finding every spot where it lists aPC_Player says, "Blah Blah" It has all your combat text and all your channel spam etc in it as well so it can be a hefty process looking for particular lines. SOE have their own logs as well and the GMs have access to them.

I think just /log will toggle general logging on/off. Will log a log more than just chat, but you can find the chat in word or such. Its the same log file as used by the parsers like ACT, so those pages might also offer hints about turning on.

As said above, /log is the log command, but if you want just the chats, and dont want to have to search forever, I recommend you also find an EQ2 Log Parser. They are out there, and extremely useful for sorting everything out, since the /log command saves litterally everything you ever see in your chat box (And some you have set to not show lol).
