I can't say which server would be best, but maybe helpful to create a character on your usual playtime and check the server load - they are listed to show heavier loaded servers on bottom. As soon as you have chosen your server its easier to find a guild. Most servers also run guildthreads on their server forums, or you post there and let people know what you are looking for. You can also check the guilds listed as currently recruiting by using the U key ingame, but this only shows a few of the guilds available.

If you want to play on a Japanese server you need to change your Region Select to Japanese on the first screen when you start the Launchpad. The Japanese server is called Sebilis and the forums are here: <a href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/forums/list.m?category_id=23" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...?category_id=23</a> If you live in that area of the world and want to play on an English speaking server you may want to try Najena since that is the unofficial Australian server.
