I want to solicit some opinions from the fighter community. Who do you think would compliment dual boxing with an Inquisitor the most?

Monk Bruiser or Zerker?

By compliment I mean, be most effective as a duo (DPS, Survivability, Named Farming, and last of all which class offers the most to a raid these days should I actually get him to 70 one day and decide to switch to him as my main?

- Monk I can see offering the greatest advantage of Surviving since they have group FD. Could make for some interesting dungeon crawls.

- Bruiser seem to offer a tad more DPS and have slighty better crowd control (mez/stun).

- Zerker I'm guessing will go Toe to Toe the best and offer some significant DPS while taking the hardest beating. Also thinking a zerker might have the best "raid" usefulness. Also seems every group these days is looking for a tank (plate preferred) although Monks and Bruisers sometimes fill the role.

I'm not that familiar with the Fighter class. I play Scouts and Mages. Can you guys offer some input that I might be missing?

Zerker. The issue with clerics with brawlers is that cleric healing is a reactive upon hit and brawler fighting relies on avoiding the hits. Thus it's not the most efficient pairing. Zerkers are plated and thus have higher mitigation to defray the hits that go through ... and are built to be getting hit more (aka not avoidance tanks) thereby procing the reactives more. Shaman work really well with brawlers ... brawlers avoid avoid then get hit, the ward soaks up the hit. Rinse repeat.

INQ can tank [Removed for Content] fine. I suggest a swashy or brigand.

I have an inquisitor and a duo with my swash buddy all the time, i tank and heal while he dishes out dmg

Well I already have a 70 Scout class and 2 70 Mage Classes.

Was looking to do a fighter/healer combo where the healer character wouldn't require much work (mainly just play the fighter and toss a heal every now and then).

Any combination is fine since any fighter or rogue can tank heroic encounters. Since you want to switch your main to the new fighter, you need to consider carefully what class is needed in raid. It depends on your current guild or guild you want to apply.

I would recommend SK + Inq. SK has more utility than Berserker (with Feign Death and Evac later on).

I can tell you this - before all the crazy combat changes/expansions and all I pretty much exclusively duo'd with an INQ up to 50. In theory, yes... a druid/warden would be better but I can tell you that I really didn't have any problems. With her mob debuffs and my self heal I was tearing through stuff so quickly in an xp environment that it just didn't matter. Hell sometimes she would get bored and haste me for the hell of it even though it stunned her Zahn Permafrost

I agree with the guy that suggests the Zerker since hes the only plate tank you listed. When i was levelling my bruiser up dual box with my Inq i found it harder work than when i did the same thing with a Guard. As the other guy said, reactives rely on you getting hit to work. I started using my friends fury instead and that works much better since the heal lands regardless. I also tried it with a mystic, this works ok but its a bit of a pain since you have to cast wards and heals rather than just heals. I love my bruiser to death and my guard is retired as a result. However, if the Inq is your main point of interest id go with any plate tank for duo with him. bear in mind though that plate tanks dont tend to do as much damage as a monkey/bruiser would do, so the fights will last that bit longer.

Have Fun!

Zerker,Monks and Bruisers are avoidance tanks, meaning they don't get hit. You don't get hit with an inquize at your back, you are less likely to be healed.
